Our Mission

The Arts

With your help, we are enriching the Hollidaysburg Area with arts & culture through music events & arts education.

How It All Began

The HAAC started in 1998.  At a public town hall meeting, the group identified a need to establish an organization to bring art and music to the Hollidaysburg area. It was identified that there was a need for more arts activities for young and young at heart.

The idea was embraced by many who volunteered time and talents to the group we are today.  Concerts, art camps, adult workshops and other arts program began to be planned.

Our Programs

We offer annual Free Summer Concerts, Art Camps for Kids, Adult Workshops and more!

HAAC has been inducted into the Blair County Arts Hall of Fame and recognized by Blair County Historical Society, Hollidaysburg Alumni Association, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance, just to name a few.

Our Sponsors

Thank You

Through the years, we have been able to create programs for art education for children in elementary and junior high.

Artists from the area donate their time to host our adult workshops. Our annual “Music in the Burg” free summer concert series is made possible by the sponsors and in-kind donations by those in the community.

All sponsors are given recognition in our ads, printed material, radio time and billboards, as well as the day of the event they sponsor.

Our latest activity

We held an Adult Painting Workshop at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library on Tuesday, November 19th

The art project, conducted by artist, Colleen Park, was an 11 x 14″ snowman on canvas. Thank you to all who joined in the festivities!

Mural Restoration

Summer 2018, Deb Bunnell and her husband Roger, took time to start restoring this beautiful mural. The wall was cleaned and given a new protective coat! First painted in 2002, Deb Bunnell and Kathy Gassler the lead artists who directed community volunteers to bring it to life! You can find this masterpiece on the District Justice building across from Zion Lutheran on Union Street.
