GET INVOLVED

How It All Began…

The HAAC started in 1998.  At a public town hall meeting, the group identified a need to establish an organization to bring art and music to the Hollidaysburg area. It was identified that there was a need for more arts activities for young and young at heart.

The idea was embraced by many who volunteered time and talents to the group we are today.  Concerts, art camps, adult workshops and other arts program began to planned. Our efforts were noticed by the public and gathered support from many.

We offer annual Free Summer Concerts, Art Camps for kids, Adult Workshops and more!

THANK YOU!

Financial and in-kind support from the Borough of Hollidaysburg, Hollidaysburg Area School District, local corporations, foundations and the private sector enables us to offer quality programs and activities to enrich the leisure time for the members of the Hollidaysburg community.

Through the years, we have been able to create programs for art education for children in elementary and junior high.

Artists from the area donate their time to host our adult workshops. Our annual “Music in the Burg” free summer concert series is made possible by the sponsors and in-kind donations by those in the community.

All sponsors are given recognition in our ads, print material, radio time, billboards, as well as the day of the event they sponsor.

MURAL RESTORATION

In summer 2018, Deb Bunnel and her husband Roger took time to start restoring this beautiful mural. The wall was cleaned and given a new protective coat! First painted in 2002, Deb Bunnel and Kathy Gassler the lead artists who directed community volunteers to bring it to life! You can find this masterpiece on the district Justice building across from Zion Lutheran on Union Street.
